Digging up the dirt!

We used to have a ton of water in our basement when it would rain, but we patched the holes and painted with a waterproofing paint. It really seemed to make a difference until it rained for nearly two weeks in a row. We had some more water leak in, so we decided that it maybe had something to do with the dirt being so high in the front of the house. We planned to dig it up and take the dirt into the backyard where dirt was needed. I decided that we were going to pull up the bushes while we were at it because I have never been a fan of them!

Drew had to work (his 6th day of the week), so my mom and Graham helped me. Oh, and all of our little friends "pitched in" as well! We dug up probably 10 wheelbarrows full of dirt and pulled up the bushes. It's kind of bare right now, but I'm hoping we will decide what to put back there and finish up on Wednesday.

They decided to write on themselves instead of the ground. Cale claimed that the blue streaks made him stronger!
