Beck is a walker!

Beck has been taking a steps here and there for a few weeks now. He would take up to 5 at a time and then drop down and crawl the rest of the way. He was pretty content with crawling with everywhere, though he would walk around if someone held his hands. He would also stand straight up without holding on to anything. We figured it would click before too long!

The night before Thanksgiving, Drew, my dad, Nick, the boys, and I were hanging out, waiting to go the holiday lighting ceremony on Main Street. Beck was in the kitchen and just stood straight up. He took about 8 steps before putting his hands to the ground. We all figured he would start crawling, but he stood back up and walked another 10-12 steps before he got to me. We all cheered and of course, he started clapping for himself as well.

The past two days, he's done more walking than he has crawling. He hasn't quite figured out how to pick things up and walk while carrying them, so he pushes them along the floor to where he's going and then heaves them up once he's there. It's too funny.

It's amazing how much older he seems now that he is walking everywhere. He really doesn't seem like a baby anymore!
